Dang, very nice, I love the blue color, down here in TX, where I live, all the snakes are rather dull in color except for the occasional coral snake :p, I looked at a few pictures and the only one that stood out to me is a grey rat snake, but I don't think they are found in Ohio, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Can you upload the pick to a site like photobucket and post the link please? It looks like a rat snake but I'm having a hard time telling because the pic is small. I'm thinking it's either an eastern hognose or a young eastern/black rat snake.

The reason I said rat snake was because of the bars along its back, I almost said a rattle snake of some type because of the head shape.

Yeah, that's throwing me. Similar looking to an eastern massasauga. But it could just be flattening its head, this is why I want a bigger pic lol.

But then it could be a hognose because I was once told that they can flatten their head/neck area. My #1 choice is still a rat snake.

My first instinct was a hognose, personally because it looks small, and because of the flattened head, but it's not a good picture to use.

Try PM'ing me the link, or put a space somewhere in the link, like in between photo and bucket or between www and .
You have to have like 5 posts to post links, I forgot

You're welcome, I thought it was a hognose, but the other picture just didn't show the head clearly enough (or closely enough). They are beautiful and harmless to humans, great sighting.

Yup hognose.
And you weren't able to post the Photobucket link because you haven't made enough posts yet.
