Ive got 4 bps and am considering selling a couple and just having a couple of pets, since moving I just dont have the room for all of the snakes so will sell a few.
I will keep popcorn and kiddo.
Kiddo is not very tame, very skittish but I would keep her anyway. She hasnt been handled much at all.
I do want her to be popcorns mate eventually.
I do however want to make Popcorn a nice pet.Right now he is very young and only has a few meals under his belt, so I havent done much handling until he gets some weight on.
So how often is a good idea. I handle my corns quite often but they are not shy like the ball pythons.

I have seven snakes (ball python morphs and boas) and I handle them every day. They are very friendly and never bit me. Our youngest, Bozo (banana ball) viciously bit my husband the day he arrived in the mail, but it is understandable. He was terrified, poor thing, after being confined in a bag and box for more than 24 hours. It took him a few days to calm down, now he's the sweetest baby ball ever. More we handle our snakes, better their behavior.

It's all in how the snake is when you put it back, always end handling on a good note.
I only ever take my ball python out to clean his cage and the occasional quick check to see how he's doing.
I handled my woma a lot when she was little to tame her down and stop her from smashing her pretty face against the glass to bite me, now she's like a puppy. I just took her out today to take some pictures of her.
As long as you never handle a snake the day of or the day after it has eaten or when it's in shed, then it's safe to handle.
All snakes are different, some tolerate handling more than others. The snake will tell you when it doesn't want to be bothered.

I usually pull them out about once a week, usually for 1-3 hours at a time. I feed them on Sunday evening, so I usually don't bother them Sunday, Monday, or until Tuesday evening. So basically I get them out whenever I want to Tuesday evening thru Saturday evening. Coincidentally Tuesday evening and Saturday evening is when I routinely check the cages for feces and give them fresh water. I pulled Namira out for a couple hours today and checked both cages feces.

I only handle my snakes when I have to. They tolerate being handle and it can stress them out.

Thanks, Ive always just handled them on cleaning days, except for noodle the cornsnake, he is the one corn that loves to come out of his cage and is always active.
He is a bit of a strange snake that acts more like a dog, always curious, always ready to come out.
