So, my life has been a bit turbulent this month already and I have been waiting for it to end. One thing after another is happening, but it's not all bad! Just exhausting! Lol

Now I have even more happening!

Other than the fact I am finally buckling down to move out of home, I have my gecko babies, trying to diet and work out (so failing at this though), and work has been suuuper crazy. Too much work one day, not enough another...I have trained and mentored and blasted my stats out of the water the whole time.

Now here's rhe part I'm so nervous about....I have an interview on Wednesday for a promotion that I want SOOOO BAAAAD! I'm so nervous I think I have a blowtorch in my belly (heartburn). I have been after a promotion for about a year now and so much lays on this. Not to mention that it will help me pay for my (soon to be) new apartment.

Gah!!! I feel like I'm gping crazy!

Hang in there Mink. Breathe, relax and do your best. That's all any of us can do. I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress. Everything that is meant to be will be. Best wishes with your promotion and upcoming move. You can do it!!

Minkness,

Like El-Ziggy said; stop, relax and take a breath. One tip I would give you for your interview is to have several situational scenarios already planned in your head for when they ask you to give them an example when you...

i.e. Give us an example when you were not able to complete a project on time, what did you do? How did you communicate with the client? What was the outcome? and what did you learn from the experience?

It's always a good idea to have a half dozen or so examples of scenarios with the answers to questions like these already prepared so you can answer with confidence and not sit there like a deer caught in the headlights. Even if they don't ask situational questions like this, these scenarios are good to have so you can offer them up as experience and examples of how you have successfully added value to the business.

Good luck and please keep us posted on your new promotion!!!

Wow, I can't imagine all of that at once. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get it, but if you dont, don't worry, everything will work out and I'm sure you will have another chance:)

Stay calm and be prepared to hear out of the park questions. It's okay to take a moment to think of an answer. I once had an employer as me "what are 3 accomplishments you have had this year that you are proud of".

Good luck and keep us posted.

PS I'm failing recently on the workout thing too ;)

Thanks guys!!!

My supervisor didn'tcome in today to meet with me for a mock interview like he wanted, so I called him. (He told me to) and we talked for like an hour. He warned me about those odd ball questions and helped me figure some stuff out. Like, what is a failure I experienced and what dis I do about it, a time when I disagreed with a supervisor and how I handled it, what a strengthand a weakness were, annnnnd...why I'm the guy for the job. He also told me that Ineed to just be myself. Which is funny because I'm a little goofy and sometimes 'too open' lol.

Also, went and looked at the future apartment after work today and need to make sure to go back tomorrow to make my down payment because they only have one unit currently available. (One of what I need anyway lol).

Also....while I can have ANY caged animal I want, I have to pay 300$ pet fee PER pet...soooo...my cat will be hanging out with mom for a few months while Ibsave up the 2nd per fee. I couldn't live without my dog...

Good luck on your interview! I hate those things, they ask all sorts of silly questions :)
But I'm sure you will do just fine!

Oh jeez, I totally forgot to update this!

My interview went really well, but turns out it is mor tech related and Im a bit of a techtard. I haven't heard back about a 2nd interview yet, but I have alot of thinking to do before I decide if I take the promotion or not.

Also, paid my deposit on my apartment and the official moving day is august 8th. =)

Good luck on your interview, Mink. Remember its always good to have good things going on keeping you busy and moving forward than having nothing and being stagnant.
