completely normal ;) lol
One of my snakes dragged a fuzzy onto the log with him, let it go, neatly coiled around it with his head resting on it, sat there for hours, then he ate it after "cuddling" with it. He had proper heating and everything but ok...weird snake.

I may be wrong, but that looks like a live rat. If it is, you may find that the rat is not interested in cuddling and will instead attack your snake and can cause serious damage. One quick bite and your snake can lose an eye. Your decision if you think it's worth taking the chance of feeding live rats.

Lol. My BP kinda does this if the nouse isn't warm enough. But he doesn't eat it later....he leaves it....I have learned that if he doesn't eat it in about 5-10 mins to remove it, heat it in warm water again, and offer it a second time. He hasnt refused it when offered back yet. =)
But yeah, he 'hugs' it for a good while before trying to eat it.
Silly Moko!

I will keep that method in mind. Sometimes my ball python is finicky.

Yeah. A long time friend who has had BPs for YEARS told me about that trick when I was lamenting about him refusing so many meals or strikeing then not eating. Has worked every time!

Jim I don't think that rat ever dare to attack on snake.
Rats and mice absolutely will attack and kill snakes if left in an enclosure.

Not if they have an opportunity to escape instead. But when they are trapped in an enclosure with a snake, they can and will defend themselves. There have been many documented cases of snakes being severely injured or even killed by rats, mice, and other live feeders.
That's why it's good practice to monitor feedings closely when using live prey. I prefer frozen/thawed for safety and economy, but some snakes only take live and some people prefer live for other reasons.
