Hello

We own 2 adopted snakes... a lesser ball python named LeeLou and a corn snake named Dorito. They are both about 3 years old. We got them a couple of weeks ago and they still won't eat! argghgghhh... looking forward to getting help with that :)

Hi, welcome to the fray. Let your snakes settle in and don't handle or disturb them until they're eating well.

Welcome! What's the temperature in your enclosures, and how is controlled? Often is a factor for snakes skipping meals.

Welcome! Your snakes are still really new and are probably still stressed out about their new environment. Give them time. Don't handle them or mess with them too much except to change their water and spot clean their enclosures, and try to keep the room they're in quiet for the time being. Once they've eaten a couple meals you can start working on handling them. I agree with Rattlehead though that you should double check your husbandry too just in case; I would recommend a handheld temperature gun to check your temperatures in addition to whatever thermometer you use, and always use a thermostat with any heat source. For the ball you'll also want to check your humidity. Also make sure you're using the same feeding methods as the previous owner/store/breeder. You can change your methods later on but you'll want to start with what they're familiar with. But a couple of weeks off feed is pretty common for new snakes. Be patient ;)
