Yes they do scrath like a dog...if she had grabbed her hind foot and flipped over onto her back, it would be playing possum, or when they percieve bodily harm.....my hatchling V.e. used to do that, and back then nobody could tell me what it was, speculating it was some form of neurological affliction, and later when I stumbled on playing possum, I realized he did it when the Ctenosaurs I had, who were caged across from my V.e. look or charged the glass towards me, and the opposing V.e. across the room.
