I watched a video of a man bagging a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake for use as leather for a wallet/gun holster. This bothered me more than it should of. He also uses the skins of boa constrictors.
I realize the Rattlesnake isn't a protected species and it's regarded as a pest in many places (where I live theres a annual rattlesnake hunt where thousands go out to kill as many as they possibly can) but I guess after so many animals have been driven to near extinction (or a threatened state) due to people hunting them for their pelts/leather/teeth/etc that I just have an inherit distaste for hunting wild animals for commercial purposes.
Thoughts?
