I got Nix Lice Control Spray instead for the cream. Net Contents 5 FL OZ (147.86mL) active ingredient; permethrin 0.25%
The information that I've been able to find online is for the Nix Cream not the Nix Spray which is what I purchased. It has the same active ingredient so I'm guessing this will work. I just want to make sure I got the portions right. I've read on a forum of someone losing a snake from neurological damage from Nix.
Who has tried this and what's the steps I need to take to make sure my snakes are safe?

The Nix cream (shampoo) is diluted in water and then sprayed.
the spray on its own may be Too potent

I went back to the pharmacy, returned the spray and got the cream. I just treated 3 boas and a ball. Fingers crossed. I'm worrying about the added humidity level, along with exposing them to poison... poisoned humidity. I'm afraid to go to sleep
As an FYI, Provent-A-Mite (PAM) is 0.5% permethrin, so it is twice as strong as the NIX spray you purchased. If used in the same manner as PAM, it should have been fine.

PAM may be stronger but it's not as versatile. 1/4 of a bottle of Nix diluted in 1L of water can be sprayed everywhere including on the animal.
OP the only time you might have a problem with the active ingredients in Nix is if you don't wait at least 24h before offering a water bowl Same as with PAM.

There is no mention in the details about after treatment tank care. Does the tank need washed after the 3rd week of treatment or??? Just describes the procedure for treatments, not any aftercare, cleaning, etc. So, do we clean our tanks and make them pretty again or do we leave the nasty looking milky film on it forever? lol.
