So i recently purchased a BP, its my first snake, shes pretty aggressive atm and im trying to figure out a few way to tame her down a little bit. I know about 10min of handling a day, a few days a week, is the best way. But i cant even get her out of the enclosure without her striking at me, even when i just approach her enclosure. She doesnt seem to get as upset at anyone else in the house lol. So ive been doing some thinking and i have pretty bad Eczema and it makes my hands crack, peel, and bleed pretty frequently. Could this be a reason that she gets so defensive when i get near, the smell of blood on me, even if its not much? If so other then wearing gloves what can i do to help the issue?

I would leave her alone completely. Let her get used to the smells of her new home. Unless she's eating consistently I wouldn't worry about handling her.

Baby snakes can be very nippy since there are any number of things that want to eat them. It will pass.

If your skin is that sensitive I would wear gloves any way just to keep the skin clean.

Good luck
