Hi every one . As a baby in the snake rearing world , 1 year . I often like to use the internet as a resource for ideas , food for thought , and info . Of coarse being cautious and checking the info I find by cross checking several sources , and who doesnt like a good U tube vid . I was watching a general corn snake care video talking about corns loosing the end of there tails , do to incomplete sheds . Of coarse I was totally sure my sons corn wouldnt have this problem , as he always sheds in one complete piece . Or so I thought ! Being paranoid , I had to immediately go look . Guess what at very tip of his tail , I am talking 1/16 of an inch on one side of his tail there was an obvious indention . I ran my fingers down the last inch of his tail and a rough spot at the end could be felt , not really seen but felt . I took out my handy mister and started alternately misting his tail and lightly letting him pull the end of his tail thew my finger tips . I must stress very light pressure basically a lite rub . After two or three cycles of wetting and rubbing a very small piece of shed became visible . Dont pull on it if you find this problem , I kept wet and lightly rubbing several cycles finally a very small piece of rehydrated shed was left on my fingers and his tail appeared clean and the dent in his tail tip was no longer there . So even if your sure your little guy has shed clean inspect the very tip with your fingers please . Lack of knowledge and inexperience are the biggest foes we have in our chosen pet rearing path . Soak up every thing u can about it and pass any thing on you think is important , no matter what .

That's called a "binding shed" awesome that you were able to realize there was a problem.
