Is he dipping the mouse into the water???
How unusual is that? Almost like he's trying to make mouse soup :)
haha no he didn't actually dip it to get it wet. He grabbed it off the tongs, and then flipped into the water bowl. haha he finished eating it there though.
My Mexican Black has eaten under water though...it was odd.

What's wrong with pics of one of the things snakes do best? Seeing a snake eat is fasinating no matter how many times I watch. The way they can suck down something 2X their girth with out even chewing... You should see egg eating snakes, going after something 4X their girth. Seeing them stretch like that will amaze you.

Very nice snows - nice photos. The color on the male looks especially nice. How old are these two? Any plans for breeding this season?
mary v.
The female is a 2000..and the male is 2001 purchased from Reptile Rainforest I believe.
I didn't brumate them but I have put them together a few times and will continue doing so...just to see what happens. So far the male gets so excited he shoots early...*LOL* and the female wants nothing to do with it. So only time will tell if she will breed this spring, if she will I am thinking a couple more months. :)

I wonder if brumating will get her interested?
I am sure I would have excellent results if I had brumated them this year. I just didn't have the space required to do so, and decided to take my chances. :)
If all goes well then I'll have some babies, if not thats great too since I was already planning on missing out this season. :)
