So I have this poor rescue... I need to know if anyone has ever seen this before. I want to take him to the vet but worried if this is incurable. I don't have allot of money and if there's no hope I'd rather as sad as it may be just put him out of his misery. My heart breaks for this guy...

Abcess most likely. Is curable. Incredibly gross.

No offense but dont take in rescues if you dont have money to help it. Most people getting rid of snakes for free is because they have some medical issue. I just rescued a argentine boa with a terrible uri and its now being treated but the vet bill was $300

I'd take an abscess over a contagious RI that can infect everything in your collection.

Money or not taking in a sick rescue is a risk. your money doesn't make it less of one.

Well i keep my sick snake on the opposite side of the house from my other reps and im not handling my other reps at the moment if i have to spot clean i wash up to my shoulders with dish soap, change clothes and wear gloves the go up to my elbows. So i doubt anything will carry over and of it does i will catch it before it gets bad like my almost dying rescue was 5 days ago before we started the baytril injections. A mild uri is easily curable without a vet visit also

Good luck with that. Just don't crap on someone doing the exact same thing as you are using money as an excuse.

Im not trying to crap on them. Just stating if youre going to rescuing reps that are in bad conditions you need money for vet visits.

Wow, how long has the poor guy been suffering with this condition as far as you know? It could be a tumor also, a secondary infection from a stomatitis. If you cant afford the vet consider donating him to a wildlife rehabilitation group. They usually have affiliations with vets and can give you some advice. Some vet schools may be interested in taking him on as a project. Worth a try. :D Good luck with him.
