Wow the croc skinks are frigging awesome.

I read up a tat bit on them. Says they can be housed in a 20-25 gallon enclosure, but also says they like to swim and need to in order to prevent themselves from drying out? So do they need a area to swim or just a water bowl to soak?

The egg eating snakes are awesome, they look really small. Will they eat things other than eggs?

The egg eating snakes will only eat eggs. I am going to try quail eggs from the supermarket first but if those are too big I may have to get some from one of the local zebra finch breeders. I think they like to climb a bit, one is hiding in some fake plants a couple of inches off the ground now. This species is larger than some of the more commonly offered ones and will end up taking regular chicken eggs with no issues.

One of the crock skinks soaked in a large water bowl, so I'm inclined to believe they need at least a large, shallow bowl big enough for them to get their entire body into. On the plus side, they don't need a lot of heat. I'm told the humidity has he stay quite high, too. I have them on bark mulch to help with the humidity. There's one dry corner just in case, but 75% of it is moistened and one corner is filled with spag. moss in case they want to be really moist. I've also seen them using a hide box and hiding in fake plants. I think these crock skinks are awesome and hope they can get well established in captivity. I bought a pair because I'd like to have more myself and I am hoping if they lay eggs to find some other people to swap offspring with.

Very cool. I'm not sure if you display your animals, but the crocs would be really cool to show off in a viv with a swampy beach area. :D

They are in a plastic box for right now, once they clear all the tests and 90 days passes, I'll move them into an enclosure.

I can't tell which one it is but someone grabs earthworms when I put them at any crevice opening at the bottom of the hide box.

What do you look for with the croc in the 90 day quarantine?


Also Will they be able to live I the same enclosure for life?

From what I've read only one pair of male and female can live together, any other combination must be housed separately. I am waiting to get stool samples to take to my vet to check for internal parasites. I keep everything new coming in inside a separate part of the house just in case there is an issue. Most field collected animals I've received have parasites of some kind or another, sometimes more than one.

The first egg eating snake ate this evening. I was worried that a quail egg was too big but I don't have finch eggs yet and they seemed to settle in really well so I thought I'd try some quail eggs from the grocery store and it worked! I'll throw a second one in there soon and see if the other one is able to eat it, too.

It's pretty cool to watch them eat. I would definitely say go for it if you're thinking of getting one, just make sure they are eating quail eggs without any issue so you don't have to try finding finch eggs. Mine came from Outback reptiles and he has more. I would recommend him because he knows how to get them feeding before he sells them off.

I'm not sure I could've obtained a video even if I had known they were going to eat because the room was dark at the time, I just thought I saw the snake eating the egg and though, naw they wouldn't be eating yet, then I looked again and the mouth was wrapped around the egg, very impressive for such a small snake and worried me a little. I checked back 15 minutes later and the entire egg had been swallowed. This morning, I found the egg shell as the only remaining sign. I put another egg in there tonight for #2. Maybe once they have been in captivity a while I can train them to eat during the daylight.

The croc skinks are working out well, too. They seem to eat a lot. Basically I drop worms or crickets around the entrance or sides of the hide box and they grab them up. One actually pulled on the worm while I still had it in my hand tonight, lol, they must have come in really hungry.
