I'll be getting a Peruvian rainbow boa in a bit and building a custom cage for it. ill also be making it into a vivarium. Since I haven't ever made one before, i decided to try it out in a 10 gallon tank...probably stick a frog of some sort in it

First i built the caging for the pump, but i didn't snap any does of that. Then i built the false floor and put the background waterfall in place. After that i mixed up my background mess of sphegnum moss, coco husk and a bit of plantation soil. Once that was mixed up, i went crazy with spray foam and then threw my mixture on and pressed it into the foam.

Ill update this as i go along from now on. Things might change before i install the false floor. i may attempt too poor a divider of plexi glass lengthwise a few inches from the back of the tank to minimise the amount of water and maximize the amount of living space for the animal- Judy not sure how to do that yet

I need help choosing plants also. at best there will only be 11" of height so smaller plants are naturally going to work out better. what are some nice ferns that wont go very big? i dont mind having to trim the plants back occasionally either

in the bottom picture, right side of the tank theres a round piece of cork bark i glued to the side of the take i was originally thinking about using a type of spider plant in there and letting it grow out and hang down but theres only a couple inches in diameter and its not very deep. any thoughts? i may have to go with some moss

Pathos will grow great in that. they vine out then grow tall between 8"-12" high

If i didnt have my little man today i would have finished it. The silicone i used dried extremely quick and i was able to test the water fall after a few hours. It worked out perfect... I'm stoked to get it finished and planted. The dart i put in it will be cool too...although I'm not thrilled about working with fruitflies

I worked on it a little bit more... Added a water divider to maximize the amount of planting soil and actual room for the frog(s) and installed the false floor. Next step is to add the drainage layer on the front half of the tank, then its mixing the ABG mix and planting. Few weeks of growing And figuring out humidity and heat and then its frog time :).

Thank you. Haha i wish i had the ability to fully think things through before starting a project. This has been way more of a 'pita' to build than it needs to be
