what are the visual differences between boas and pythons?

so i spent a small amount of time looking for differences between the two and really, im still stumped... besides the fact that pythons lay eggs and boas have babies whats the obvious differences?


i can only say i can tell the difference between ETB and GTP because of the head scales and nostrils

For most species main difference will be in colour and pattern. However in similar looking species like etb and gtp they are didifferentiated in the way you mentioned.

Generally, Pythons are Old World snakes and Boas are New World snakes.

There aren't any characteristics I know of that are strictly visual that distinguish all boas and pythons, but there are some that distinguish certain species.
