This is from 2009 and has had virtually no challenge by the HSUS's lawyers.... so they know this isn't slander and will not pursue a challenge for fear of drawing attention to themselves.

I'm going to take some time to fully read and digests these, err, articles because there may be some truth hidden in them but I gotta say they both reek of BS. They look like countless other extremist and conspiracy theorist web sites out there, spewing hate speech and making ridiculous, slanderous claims that can not be proven. I think tax reports showing where every dollar donated to HSUS went would be much more compelling. I'm interested in facts, not tabloids.

Wow talk about a bunch of horse excrement! The first article I managed to scan through part of until I got to Best Friends. Please associated with the mob? See the problem with this is one article talks about HSUS trying to kill all of Vicks dogs yet the other article slams Best Friends. By the way it was Best Friends that took in over two dozen of Vicks dogs. If you are going to post articles giving one side at least follow it up with post from the other or at least read them so you are educated on both sides and can have an informed opinion. I know some of the people at Best Friends and have met Wayne Pacelle. To be honest I can not say that I was all that impressed with Wayne Pacelle and do not agree with some of his standings.

Ummm.... I don't know what to say... Don't post things when you've been drinking heavily. Sorry guys. As most of you know I'm very big on facts and proof; and try to keep misinformation off this site. My bad.

What exactly is misinformation? I found both of them quite compelling. If someone can post facts and set the story straight, Id be more than happy to process that as well.

Did you ever watch Dog Town on Animal Planet? It followed the Vick dogs at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah
HSUS helped some of my friends in a seizure you can see a video about it in this article.

What you are asking concerning posting facts regarding these articles is impossible. How do you post facts to deny Mob affiliation? Yes we all know that HSUS is opposed to the keeping of reptiles as pets. I understand the reasoning behind having Vick do public education to high school students. I don't agree with him ever being able to own pets. I disagree with a number of HSUS policies and beliefs as most people here do. At the same time I respect what they have done for other species of animals. Where did they ever come up with the "Mob" affiliation? The writers of the article lose their credibility with that one. Both articles in my opinion are just personal "blogs" where the writer can say what ever and not offer proof to their rantings.
The point that I'm doing a very poor job of illustrating is that controversy surrounds all parties and if you search you can find ammunition to support your side. I think this article is a pretty good example. Take a few minutes and read or scan through it. About half way there is some pretty interesting information regarding the board members of ARK. Each of these members is introduced in the article in a negative manner. Had the author written it with a different twist, saying how the experience of these members have added to the board people would see it in a positive manner. I hope that I'm making sense to people. I'm not a very articulate person when it comes to writing my thoughts out.
