Hey, I'm curious about boa constrictors and was wondering about the price of boas at conventions, and morphs that would be at around $150 at most at conventions. I see "red tail boas" for 100-120 at pet stores from time to time, but am sure the most common species is much cheaper at cons/shows.

Not sure about morphs, but IME red tail babies het for something or other typically sell for $50-75. We paid $75 each for our 2 at different shows, one is 66% het albino and leopard, the other is het albino. No plans to breed them when they mature, just liked their looks and dispositions.

The "red tails" you see at pet stores for $100-120 are over-priced and marked as "red tails" so they can sell them for much higher, as true red tails are much rarer. A common Colombian BCI baby should be under $100, I paid ~$60 for mine. Some higher-quality normals from specialty breeders may be more expensive, but most pet stores get the lower-quality "throw-away" animals that they usually receive in bulk.
Morphs will vary hugely depending on the morph itself, and then who is selling it, and the quality of the animal in question. I'm not sure which morphs normally stay on the lower end, though. Motleys seem to be in the $200-400 range, and I believe Kahl albinos can be found in about that price range as well.
