Hello, I currently have a ball python, three leopard geckos, and a bearded dragon (though this one has been ill for a while and may be put down before the trip). I am moving with only a Jetta at my disposal and a 6 year old who needs a safe place to travel, so that limits my car storage space. There is no way the snake's tank will fit. I did put out a few ads to see if I could find him a new home, but so far no luck.
He is just an average snake of unknown age, so no great selling points for breeders, otherwise I might post him online.
If I can't rehome him, would a 2 week road trip do much harm? I figure I can make sure he's well feed ahead of time (he's usually a good eater so that shouldn't be a issue) and offer him water at stops. Part of that trip will be staying with my brother, so I might get lucky and find a temp home for him there with some heat.
Would this be an okay for a snake? Maybe keep him "chilled out" and sleepy? The trip is in June, so a warmer time of the year and I'll be driving to Oklahoma which gets pretty toasty, though June isn't the worst time of the year for heat. Any tips/thoughts would be appreciated! I want to be informed well in advance.
