I got the chance to pick up a CBB Mangrove Monitor on Sunday, and well... What can I say? He or she is quite bold already, and as of today is tong feeding with very little hesitation, and exploring with me right in front of the cage.

stunning, andrew hatch more?

No, Andrew's were hybrids between a rainerguentheri male and a confer indicus female. This should be a pure indicus, from a breeder in Indo by the name of Danni Gunalan.

Man I miss my V. Indicus trio. Mine were all WC and super shy. Keep us posted. This one is goong to be a looker. Its gonna be a few years before I can get back into varanids.... Child on the way.
Beautiful lizard. How large does this species grow?

It's pretty variable, and the fact that nobody knows what's up with the indicus complex anyways because they're spread over so many islands, meaning lots of variability, doesn't help. Some stay around two and a half feet, even as adult males, and others can hit four feet with ease. Most of the four footers reported tend to not be indicus, but rather juxtindicus or other species which are very similar. I believe this one will turn out to be on the small side, but we'll see.

Still haven't managed to find my camera's charger, but here are a few more videos. Yes, they are filmed vertically. No, I'm not sorry.
