Awesome! Congrats! I love that yellow and green mottle. Wish that some would stay that way lol

I am not sure you mean by 'staying that way'. Why wouldn't she? She is the colour she will be for the rest of her life....unless you can point me to a verified document that says she wouldn't.
And thank you.

I don't think he was talking about her, but he was saying that he wishes some of them would keep some yellow (like she has) instead of turning all green.
Congrats and very nice GTPs! Love that blue one.

Some of the insular specimens ie: Biak and Yapen will hold this pattern. Also some of those dead-end 'lines' also hold these patterns.
On the mainland of PNG and Australia they are mostly green with white, blue patterns with a little yellow....or none at all and solid green.
This girl is as pure a Biak outside of collecting from the island.
ps: Mother nature does have a sense of humour.

The sorong x jade line? I do! I meant I want to breed them lol
zappaguy
04-25-15, 08:27 AM
Ah gotcha...well I have a chart for breeding chondros and is as follows.
1) getting chondros to copulate, anybody can do this
2) getting gravid females, wellllll not so easy and takes experience
3) now assuming you get fertile eggs(see above) now starts the
the 1st part of 'advanced keeping' ...egg management and
hatching them out. Egg management seems to be the biggest problem and is for people with 'attention to detail' and experience.
4) now asuming you get this far and 49 days later you have baby chondros
this is the part that separates the men from the boys(or in your case
the women from the girls) getting the babies to eat.
Numbers 3 and 4 are the toughest and causes most people to give up on breeding chondros. They are not 'recipe' snakes un-like other species.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f43/erichasler/miscsnakes2006011.jpg (http://s44.photobucket.com/user/erichasler/media/miscsnakes2006011.jpg.html)
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f43/erichasler/IM006569.jpg (http://s44.photobucket.com/user/erichasler/media/IM006569.jpg.html)
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f43/erichasler/IMG_2286.jpg (http://s44.photobucket.com/user/erichasler/media/IMG_2286.jpg.html)
But in most cases most people take wrong advise, suspicious advise or much worse....popular advise by 'well' known keepers/breeders only to find all went south...funny how that works out huh?

You say perfect...but I see dents? Is that normal?
millertime89

Dents are normal. Snake eggs aren't hard like chicken eggs. They're leathery and softer.

how are these babies making out? any new pics?
zappaguy
08-04-15, 08:27 AM
Babies are/were doing great, all but 4 have been sold and are gone. I am keeping 2 babies and the last 2 are going to be sold. I will take some new photos shortly and will post them.
These babies were huge and the feeding trials went amazingly smooth but this is what you get when you have great blood lines and not dead ends.
ps: sarcasm yet again
pps: no mention of dents

These are 2 2014 Jade x Biak type siblings who wouldn't co-operate for a decent side by side shot. Still fascinates me that chondro's can look so different from the same clutch.

That would be a chondro as this thread only deals with chondros, specifically mine.
