Wondering if this would do the job in my 8ft x 8ft Boa enclosure. Does anyone use this ? Thanks

I looked into it and saw many negative reviews and decided to not waste my money on such a pricey pile of junk.
Many reviews reported that condensation got into the inner workings and fried it or caused it to continously malfunction. My next choice was the ZooMed Reptifogger. Reviews seemed good, works fine, no complaints from me. I've heard regular old humidifiers work just as well and are generally cheaper. You know people will jack up the price if it's for a pet.

I know that is a fact. So a warm air humidifier? What does everyone else use ?

My bedding provides 100% of my humidity, I don't really need a humidifier.

What type of bedding do you use ? I use Aspen bedding.

For my Boa I use Coco husk. It hold humidity very well. When I used it in my terrarium with a screen top, it would keep the humidity at 60 and I would air out the cage if I needed it lowered or mist it to raise it. Just don't mist too much because it can really hold that water in.

If you're going to spend the money on a mist system I'd go mistking. I love mine. $100 for the basic. The reptifogger and monsoon fail rather quickly... Read some of the reviews on amazon. Sadly 9 times out of 10 the product marketed for reptiles is complete crap.

For the snakes that need high humidity, EcoEarth and sphagnum moss. Not mixed together, though. One has sphagnum, two have EcoEarth. The spagnum moss is because I found that my flexwatt didn't allow the bedding to release enough moisture before molding. I use EcoEarth with overhead heating.
