Hey everyone,
I took my ball out for some cuddling today; I haven't held him for a few days due to feeding him on Friday...and it was a larger meal then usual (Frozen/thawed don't worry he wasn't attacked) so I let him chill a few days extra to digest.
Under his belly when I took him out I found a little cut. I'll post a picture below. It doesn't look deep but I like a graze over his scale or like his scale pulled off...
Not to sure, help please? Was wondering if I should put something on it..?
Thanks everyone!

I looked up pictures of scale rot and it looks like those snakes have more spots…it's literally just this one spot on him.

I dont think it looks like scale rot either. honestly hard to tell. Is there any rough or sharp edges on anything in its enclosure? Also what are you using for substrate?

Not any rough surfaces I know of...I'll do a double check. I'm using aspen for bedding.
Just came home to find him soaking which is unusual for him unless he's in shed. I was guessing he might be going into shed soon so mayybe..

Looks like he may have rubbed up against something with a sharp edge and cut himself. I wouldn't worry too much, he'll probably be fine. Just keep an eye on it for a few days to make sure it's healing and not getting worse. My rosy boa and BP have both had a worse injury than that and both healed up quickly on their own with no issues.

As has already been said, check his enclosure thoroughly for anything that might have a sharp edge.

The cuts been healing up, I got him a new hide because he was starting to outgrow his hot side one…Possibly could have been the issue..
Haven't seen any marks since and like I said the cut is healing up, thanks for the advice everyone! :)
