Can you feed snakes a hard boiled egg?? If it was the right size, would there be any benefits or issues? I wouldnt feed my rosy an egg but it was a random thought i had while i ate my eggs for breakfast this morning :p
I've heard of people doing it. Not sure if it would be beneficial or not. I know many snakes love eggs.

I don't think it would be a good idea unless it's fertalized, cause it wont do much good for the snake if it's a dud egg. Plus I wouldn't do hardboiled, we're the only ones who cook our food, animals can't take cooked food, or at least they shouldn't have it.

Snakes are built to eat whole prey items. if it ain't broke I wouldnt worry about fixing it.

I read about somebody who fed a overweight corn snake powdered hard boiled egg-whites, he did that to get the snake to lose weight while maintaining a normal feeding schedule.. It actually worked, still surprised me it even ate it. Because of that it doesn't sound like a smart idea to feed as a steady diet, there's not much energy in just egg(whites).
