What would you price this at?

Hi all, unfortunately I am being forced to sell my 135 gallon terrarium setup since my JCP died over the summer and I am relocating. I am having a hard time figuring out what to price it for, so I'd appreciate suggestions.

It includes:
-135 Gallon Terrarium (Obviously) by Glasscages.com. Original price: $228 without shipping

-Lid that has a hinge in the middle so it can be opened on either side. Lid locks included as well. Original Price: $80

-LOTS of decorative items, including three large hiding places (big enough to comfortably house a 6' JCP), multiple plants, a large water bowl, and a nice looking backdrop poster.

-Large heating pad underneath the right side of the tank, large heat lamp, and a top lamp that has two 25 watt blue/purple "night lights" for nighttime viewing (this top lamp can be seen in the second and third pics on the middle portion of the lid).

I didn't keep the receipts of all the items, so I don't know what they're all worth, but I figure everything put together makes for an awesome plug-and-play setup for any snake that stays under 9 or 10 feet, and probably best for something that is at least 4 feet.

Oh, and actual dimensions are: 6 feet long, 25 inches tall, and 18 inches wide.

I'd say check your local Craiglist and see if there's any comparable size tanks in your area for comparison, but personally I'd say $300-350 for the whole pile would be a fair price.

I agree 300-350 sounds about right. I always price a bit higher than what i want cause everyone always tries to haggle.

Fair and what will actually move it are two different things. If you were moving tomorrow what would you do with it? Probably throw it away or leave it. I would put it on CL for like 175 and take 150 for it. Just get it out of the house and off your mind of how to deal with it. Moves are stressful as it is.

Around here a used tank with no cracks usually goes for $1/gallon. With all the extra stuff I'd try for 200 but you might not be able to get that much.

I have time to spare, so it's not a super big rush. From what I'm seeing on craigslist and what I'm seeing on here, I'm thinking $350 or so. For someone to build this setup on their own would cost way more than that. This would be great for a JCP, Rainbow Boa, or possibly even a Red Tail Boa that stays under 9 feet. A Ball Python or something of similar size would have itself a playground with this setup.

I'm still down for further feedback, so feel free to chime on in.

I agree with all of the Craigslist checkers. I just sold my 150 show tank with everything that was less than 2 years old. I priced it above what I was seeing on other comparable ads and didn't get a call for a month. I lowered it around the others price and it sold the same week.

Yup, I'm an avid craigslister and know the mentality. People are on Craigslist to find 'steals' and because it's basically a dumping ground for desperate souls usually, steals are easy to find.

You could post it for 300 obo and see if you get any calls, or post it without a price and state that you are taking offers.

Either way people WILL lowball you, but if you have time to hold onto it, start posting it now and just see how it goes.

For my local Craigslist a 150 fish tank with hood, lights, heat, gravel, decore, and other supplies, is listed for 175. Depends on your area I'm sure.

And to a previous poster: No, it doesn't hold water, as it's a terrarium. Although, I imagine that would certainly add value.
