Grrrrrrrr. I was hoping for a thread like this today! Work is so ******. System issues aside. I had a customer earlier call about her bill. She read last months bill and it said that a $10 promo was expiring that month. She then aske why her service went up by $10 and wanted to know why no one told her it was going up? Does this make sence to anyone at all? How do these ppl survive? Does someone need to tell you when you're hungry too? this has been my typical calls all day and am about to loose my ****!

"I need a key for my truck"
"ok what kind of truck sir?"
"its a chevy."
"Yes, what model"
"its a chevy pickup"
"Sir I need to know the model of the truck as well as the year"
"DOES IT REALLY MATTER WHAT KIND OF TRUCK. ITS A CHEVY."

oh jesus i was about to lose it. yes it reaking matter what kind of truck. I kept polite.

" ok, the model, a silverado, a sierra, etc"
" oh it's a Sierra."
"okay so its a GMC."
"same thing."
"No sir, different models and brands different keys."

he couldnt grasp that chevy doesnt have 1 key for all trucks LOL

People are actually ridiculous... they expect me to KNOW what the want.. I deal with so many people I cant remember what your key looked like last week..

I had a guy a couple weeks ago who was furious that he couldnt use a model 9241 from telus on the bell satellite TV networks because we have the same model # for pvrs and just wouldnt accept that the software was different because its decoding a different signal from a different satellite. Gave me a bad survey because I wouldn't add it to the acct for him.

I've been debating to myself about whether I should (continue to) pursue learning a foreign language. I am familiar with several but am not fluent in anything. I rounded it down to just Spanish and Russian (useful in my area), but like everything I get involved in, I can't just focus on one or two as I want them all! I am like this about snakes too! But I have to set limits on myself or I'll never accomplish anything. But, but I want them all! This is my daily struggle. I also want to learn to play guitar and refine my abilities on my viola/violin. Did I mention I also have a banjo? I need to finish that knitting project and I really need to get back to drawing or some kind of visual art....

This is why I never get anything done. And dishes. I have so many dishes that need washing.

An online snake cam would be cool.

Sounds like a bit of ADD there lol. For the language I'd probably go with Spanish sa it seems to be the most common second language in the states.

Grandkids are great,you get to hand them back when they stop doing fun stuff and pull a tantrum :laugh:

Granny and Grandad powers are pretty cool as well...

give them all the sweets they want,let them create chaos,and sit and laugh with them like a big grown up kid :D

must admit though,when all 5 of mine visit at the same time,it can get crazy :laugh:

I felt bad that I wanted to sleep intsead of watch the news with my beardy this morning, so I took him to bed with me for an hour haha (I don't move in my sleep so he sleeps on my chest)

i was very lucky,as my first Grand kid was actually twins,a boy (Jack),and a girl (Lilly),also from half way through the pregnancy until the twins were just over a year old,my son and daughter in law lived with my wife and i,while they looked for a decent house,that was big enough to fit them all in,that was also in a less rough part of our village

getting called grandad made me feel old for the first time...

every time someone said here's grandad coming,i thought they were talking about my dad and looked out the window for his car :laugh:


re getting old
it's pretty amazing watching their wee personalities and traits develop,it gets you over the feeling old part pretty quick :D

Ever time my three year old grandson see me he comes running yelling papa here. I just love it but I think grandma gets a bit jealous.
Dave, Shaun is so right your going to love it. Nothing greater than being a grandparent.

Evan all ready trying to play the grandma card. Lana got after them about picking up his toys and he runs over to grandma and told on his mom. I was laughing so hard I fell out of the chair. Tami goes Evan you need to be a big boy and pick up your toys. He turn around and went and picked them all up. Lana was in shocked that he told grandma on her. I was like it so funny because you use to do the same thing when you were that age to your mom.:bouncy:

What a day yesterday, not only did it start snowing like there was no tomorrow. . People can't drive in the snow, and proceed to make life more dangerous for those who can. If you're scared, stay off the road, order a taxi whatever. Don't endanger my life by merging onto the highway, with a speed so low a turtle could out run your ***. Or slam full on brakes if your car skids one foot, that's not going to help... oh well, made it back in one piece :D .. And i usually don't put much about the rescues (dumped animals) i get and adopt, but this cornsnake i have now has been adopted out last year. Brought back for aggressive behaviour, adopted out again recently, brought back in 2 days because of aggression.. :| it's just a cornsnake people! Not satan.. He needs a decent home, poor fella.

We are really are excited guys, we already have a cot for the little one to sleep in and a buggy (pushchair) to take him/her out for walks when they are here with us. And as for the feeling old some days you do some days you don't :)

I just took a relaxing bath (without my snakes, lol) and it was awesome. I used some soap a friend bought me a year ago. I feel clean and therefore content. Now if only I could put off doing evening chores for another day....

Hoping this weekend goes better than last.. got bad news from my doctor, and a good friend has stage 3 breast cancer. Someone is trying to sue us for an accident that was THEIR fault. blagh

This week cant be any worse than last right?
Going to spend it working and snuggling my dragon >:(
