Surinam Price Range

What's the average price range for baby a surinam. I found someone who has 9 of the same litter for $100/each. Is this a fair deal?

True Suriname red-tails are a lot more expensive here, in the 200/250 Euro range.. which is even more in dollars, i have my serious doubts that litter contains true red-tailed Suriname boa's.

I'm thinking the same thing. There are several in the litter that have no peaks. It's probably a cross. I don't doubt that there's BCC in there but I highly doubt it's 100%. I've only seen pics though. They're not to far so it'll be worth the drive just to satisfy my curiosity. If I can talk them down, I may scoop the best looking one up

Peaks doesn't have to mean anything but still, i doubt they're Surinam's :D i'd like to see the pictures.

If you're buying it as a pet and you're happy with the genetics, then I'd say it's fine. But if you're interested in breeding one day, I'd buy from someone with a little bit of paperwork to show the lineage. Otherwise what you breed will be worthless to any other breeders for the same reasons mentioned here... too questionable of a background.

Many BCC are mixed with BCI. This is where the cheap prices come in. If you want a real show stopping red tail, your paying the price.
