Hi all,

I wanted to introduce you all to my thayeri kingsnake pair. Not sure of exact age, but I've had them both for just shy of 2 months. I would guess based on size that they are no more than 3-4 months old in total. The female, Demosthenes, is the leonis phase (with gradient to orange tail), and the male, Locke, is the milksnake phase. I'm really looking forward to watching them grow, and I intend for them to be my first breeding project.

Thanks for taking a look!

Sweet. I will be looking for a male just like yours at the reptile show in a couple weeks.

What show? I got him at Hamburg (female is from Raleigh Repticon). I think the guy I got him from also had a MSP female, but not a male. He is also het melanistic.

Thanks! It's really amazing how different the personalities are. The female is just a tad more skittish with handling, but has a great feeding response, reliably strike feeding f/t pinkies now. The male is great with handling, but a very shy eater. He ate for the first time in my presence last night after I laid the mouse down in front of him. Usually I have to leave him alone with it for an hour or so.
