You could also make a topic and just keep updating it with pictures :D Not trying to insult, but the sheer amount of topics you open is a bit much (And i say this lightly). But again, nice snake, nice pictures! And yes, why the shower?

I don't know, it was just a tip! Another tip, if you posted a comment and decided you wanted to say more, you can press the 'Edit' button on the bottom right of your post, you can add text to it for a certain amount of time. So you won't have to post multiple times :D

Nice animals. I like the tegu.
But I have to tell you that the UVB coil bulbs have been known to cause problems with reptiles eyes. The manufacturers are aware of this and apparently fixed it but never pulled the millions on the market so you never know what you'll get. I'd save for a power sun (i think the name is) mercury vapor bulb; the flourecents put out uv similar to that in the shade(if my memory serves me).The MVBs are more like a moderately sunny day level of UVB,

Very nice, aren't you afraid the tegu will get out of the tub? Or do you have like a grid made into the lid for the lighting?

He is actually too smart to escape out of it.for as long as ive had him he hasnt tried once to do so.it also makes things much easier for me not to take and put back the lid multiple times a day which also stresses out a juvenile like him
