If people were criticizing you, it was probably for good reason(concerns for your animal). We are after all, dealing with live animals. You can't just expect to hear the good stuff.

Agreed. Its not to be critical just trying to give advice form shared experience. Thats the whole point of being on a forum for our pets right? Ive been keeping snakes for 20 years and still have a lifetime of learning ahead of me.

Also, if anyone continues to criticize you just because they aren't able to get their opinions out elsewhere, you can always block them from responding. I see nothing wrong with this picture, by the way.

Looks great btw!! I don't see any heat sources? Are you heating the enclosure? The snake will do much better with a warm side around 85 ish controlled by a thermostat of course. Or is the room temperature around 80? Just concerned.;)

The importance of hides is not an opinion.

Agreed. Sorry but my advice is a hide at each end :)

Gotta agree, upon my research it's indicative that Kings get two hides (one in warm gradient, another in cool). It's imperative in the Kings ability to feel secure and to relieve stress.

Nice setup btw, I'd say get at least one hide on the warm side in there and it'll be perfect.

the problem with that is theres no heat source here. ambient room temp is being relied on to keep the snake warm

How do you know there isn't a heat pad or he took a lamp off the top to take the picture? He hasn't even responded yet just jumping to conclusions to get your daily does of outrage helps no one.

I was already confirmed in another one of his threads that there is no heat source, no one is jumping to conclusions.
