Hi, my name's Viv. Got a female albino hognose November of 2014- named Brent (aka Snakie). She's never had a feeding problem so far and is an extremely calm hog. She only hisses when I surprise her when she's sleeping and she's known to strike with her mouth closed and hiss violently when I try to mess with food she's trying to eat (which is often because she doesn't understand that it's a lot easier to NOT eat the fuzzy sideways or butt first:confused::confused: ).
She's into bursted mice, cooked eggs, climbing into my hair and green leafy plastic plants.

Welcome viv, beautiful little hoggie you've got there. It's funny they're one of my childhood favorite snakes but I've never bought one...hmm.

Welcome aboard and I wouldn't worry about her eating butt first or folding over, it's just a thing some hoggies do she'll be fine :)

Haha yeah I read some other posts about it on here and figured that's apparently just the way they are

Hi Viv, she should improve the eating technique with practice. My little carpet python had a similar issue with sorting out where to grab the fuzzy mouse, and the BCI actually fell over into his water bowl while wrestling with a f/t quail chick, lol. They're doing much better now.
Beautiful snake. Some of my young snakes grab the fuzzy the wrong way too but I just leave them alone to figure it out and they do. No worries!
