Hey there, I got a Pueblan Milk a month or two ago and I am starting to become a tad worried. When we first got him, in freezing late November, we had lost him into the main console of the car. We got him out and he seemed relatively unaffected, however there was no kind of heat source in there to protect him from the enviroments, so I think some waste may have been frozen, but he was fed on a Thursday and he was lost that Saturday. After one failed feeding, he as been readily eating for four weeks, and I have yet to find any kind of fecal matter. But I also can't quite see any form of hardened lump nor feel it. He can also vigorously musk from his vent, does that mean that it's unobstructed? Here are some pics.

I finally got some good quality photos! He eats well, but he doesn't want to poop...

I don't know if the cooler temps would cause any impaction issues. I would think if the snake is musking, it should be able to pass other waste. Very nice Pueblan btw.

is that rat pups your feeding him mate ?
if so you get very little waste coming from them, they pretty much get fully absorbed by the snake
when feeding Carpet Python hatchlings rat pups they don't poop very often, and when they do only a little runny poop comes out
once they start eating prey with fur/hair then they do it more often, and it's usually solid normal looking poop
also 4 feeds over 4 weeks and not doing a poop,is nothing to worry about
if a snake is constipated then.....
inject their prey with either mineral oil or milk of magnesia
at a dose of 1ml per kilo of body weight
once the prey is eaten and begins to break down,it releases the oil,it gets referred to as rat/mouse lax,and is very effective

not an expert and just a thought...if the fecal matter in him froze, once you brought him in and warmed him up...wouldn't it defrost? lol makes sense to me but I might not be totally sane ;)

Ok, after searching around and reviewing some care sheets, I let him lay in some warm water for a quarter of an hour to warm his insides a bit. Baganara was right; sure enough, a couple hours later, a clump of brown. Can't exactly say that I've ever been excited about finding a nugget of fecal matter before, but times have changed. Just a question to finish off; how long should a snake go without "relieving" himself to qualify as a general concern? (If not four weeks)

Every snake is different. My Hondo deficates usually 3/4 days after her feed. My rainbow usually only goes once every 3 weeks. Every snake is a little different. Once you start feeding prey that is bigger more waste will be let out of the snake. I've noticed this for my rainbow as of late.
