As some of you may have read I was in the market for a unique snake and my first attempt was unsuccessful. After some looking around I found a stunning Imperial Pueblan (75% pueblan milk snake, 25% cali king) from Mesozoic Reptiles. I am assuming the care for him is identical to a normal pueblan milk snake but I wanted to check with the forum. There is not a lot of information for these snakes online so any that can be given would be appreciated.

Very nice hybrid MC. Definitely one of a kind. I like the Imperial Pueblans and other milk x king or king x corn crosses. From what I've read the husbandry is pretty similar for Milks, Corns, and Kings. You might be able to keep him a little cooler than I keep my Kings. I keep my warm sides between 86-88. Cool sides are ambient temps in the low 70's (a little cooler these days). Best wishes and please share more pics.

Very cool. That's some awesome patterning and coloring.
That's a beautiful Imperial. Just check their site. Mesozoic offers some nice color/patterns of Colubrid species.

Yes he does and he seems to be a pretty upstanding guy as well. He answered all of my questions and was good about keeping me in the loop about the transaction.

I had Del out today doing some socializing/exploring and I figured I snap some pictures with my favorite house decoration.

Haha no but I do question if he is a little behind the curve when you compare him to my corn snake.

He is a very pretty and unique looking snake. Give him some more time to settle in and I think he'll prove to be just as inquisitive as your corn snake. Enjoy and please keep us posted with photos as he grows up.

Thank you. Clayton from Mesozoic is an awesome guy as well. I had some feeding issues and Clayton was very supportive and helpful, even going as far to say he would replace the snake should he pass. I have tremendous respect for people who stand behind their products. Luckily that was not necessary and Del is now a bit of a pig.
