My guy was supposed to ship out Tuesday and arrive Wednesday when i was off work, but the breeder had some things come up and was unable to ship. So the snake went out last night and was supposed to arrive this morning but FedEx put the wrong address on it so it wasn't delivered. Sooo tomorrow morning i am going to the FedEx office to pick him up. Hope he is okay.

Uhg...I'm sorry to hear that. Fedex messed up my girl's shipping as well. Sending you and your snake warm thoughts and good luck!

Thanks, minkness. Good thing i live in Florida. It was chilly for Florida today, a little under 60, but at least he didn't have to spend all day in a truck in a chillier area.

Really hoping he's okay. How do they breathe in the boxes?

toddnbecka

Should be fine in the box another day, assuming it's a small snake and an average size shipping box. I've shipped and received aquarium fish for years, and it's downright amazing how long some fish have survived in plastic bags after being delayed in transit for several days. Temperature is more critical, but not much danger of freezing down your way.

Minkness

No box is air tight and if it's bagged they can breath through the bag, and if it's in a deli cup (how mine came) there are air holes.

I'm From FL and remember when 60 was chillie lol

I'm in TN now and the night my girl was delayed, it was under 40 degrees. Talk about freaking out! She was fine though, so I'm sure yours will be too. =)

Wow, beautiful! I think I like that color more than the usual black and yellows I see!

Does he have a name yet?

Looks great! Glad he arrived healthy.

Thanks guys! Minkness, the breeder said he'll yellow up with age like caramels do but he thinks the contrast will look good. For now i am enjoying the reddish brown with black rims a lot! Wishing he'd stay this color, actually. I don't know, i can't make up my mind, guess we'll see what happens. And his name is Anubis.

Minkness

Awww...yeah, I like that look he has now lol

Sasquatch

I do too. I wouldn't mind if he yellowed up a bit if his Brown stays coppery.that could be beautiful!

Thanks! I love the copper with the black outline. He is more yellow in person, and the copper is lighter. I think he's a very pretty snake. Like I said earlier, he will yellow up but it'd be awesome if his copper stayed copper! He doesn't like being held, tries to run away when you touch him. If you let him be a little bit he will rest on your arm though. pretty typical for little babies I hear, I have never had a snake this young. Can't wait to see how his colors end up and can't wait for him to mellow out once he ages.

Also digging he head marking. Kind of reminds me if the lizard like people off the Old Land Of The Lost TV show.

Sasquatch

I didn't pay much attention to his head markings until you said something. I like them too, they are very symmetrical and they have the copper in them. Think he was a good price at 225?

toddnbecka
01-10-15, 01:06 AM
Land of the Lost and the sleestak, you'd have to name him Enoch, lol. Beautiful little caramel, I'd say 225 is a decent price.

marvelfreak

$225.00 is a really good price for that nice of a Caramel.

I just picked up an adule female bredli last night for 275 so I'd agree 225 is a good price as well. ( pics will be posted of her tonight when I'm done work).

Thanks i think so, too. Got him from Nick mutton. There were lighter, more orange ones but i like the contrast on this guy, and the black.
