I have been reading up on this snake for the past year - and once I am in a safe house (safe for my kids) and have enough room to house that breed - I am planning on getting one.
I would just like to know personal experiences and photos if you have 'em :)

I've had them in the past but don't keep them anymore. You should talk to Kim, on here her user name is Willow/

Which green tree pit viper? I've got a white lipped pit viper.... Very snappy but rides a hook well.

There are a number of species commonly called green tree pit viper. They include white-lipped, large-eyed, Pope's, Cameron Highlands and bamboo vipers.
I currently have a breeding group of large -eyed pit vipers (Cryptelytrops macrops ) and a Yunnan bamboo viper (Trimeresurus yunnanensis ).
