Would need pics. To me that almost sounds like a green anaconda...but I really have no idea.
Good luck!

Need pics but I'd say green anaconda off the description.

Yep. From the description, (without pics), I'd say Green Anaconda.

I'd have to agree with the above posters. Green Anaconda sounds 100% spot on. Image would help a lot. If it looks like this one, here, then, yes, definitely got you a Green Anaconda. Photo by Austin J Stevens.

Ya exactly! If this person dose have an anaconda that's not good.
If you can't recognize one of the most famous snakes in the world and you own it well.....
Not the easiest snake in the world to keep either.

Yeah... I hope the little fella is going to be ok... Anacondas are beautiful giants. I love the giants, but I just don't have the space for 'em. Would love to have me a retic, one day, personally.

I also agree that it sounds like you have a Green Anaconda. It will not stay 3 feet for long, it will reach at least 9 feet.
Again, as Kuamata pointed out, this is what a Green Anaconda looks like:

This is what a Water Python looks like (no spots!):

Please feel free to ask as many questions as you need, there are a lot of helpful people on here that know how to care for giant snakes like this.

My thoughts exactly. Being sold the heaviest snake in the world unknowingly. I'm a herp newbie but still I don't see how it could end well.
Did this man say how big this water python gets?
