Would termites actually pose a treat to a snake? Or are you just worried about them escaping?

I wouldn't worry about them too much unless they're in a wooden cage.

Im just worried about them posing a threat of some sort...possibly taking over and running rampant.

Unless you managed to get a queen, they shouldn't be around for long.

pdomensis is spot on! If you want springtails or isopods I have several kinds. Right now I have 2 sub species of temperate springtails, 1 sub species of tropical springtails, and some dwarf purple isopods.

As regards springtails . There's a lot of discussion , online currently, suggesting that springtails can help contain and even eradicate snake mites !!??
I understand that they eat the mite eggs ... is this possible , anyone have any thoughts on the matter ??

Funnily enough I've never had any mites but there seems to be a wave of "mites" around reading stories online and a bloke I met lat week told me about springtails ... just wondering if it was common knowledge .
