Ray size for feeding brb

So currently my brb sequoia is around four months old and she's I guess what's called a peach fuzzy rat. Pinkies are a little too small and fuzzies are a little too big. I was thinking about ordering some frozen online and I didn't know if I were to buy a 100 pc bag of them if they would be too small before she finished off the bag. Suggestions?

If the price for the lot of 100 is right I'd do it. worst case scenario it outgrows that food size by the time you get close to bottom of the bag just offer 2. 2 small feedings is easier for the animal to digest instead of 1 huge one anyways. Alot of breeders will do the same for feeding gravid females as well.

Unless it's fantastic deal, you'll lose a lot of them. The furless (or close) rodents only keep for six months..and that's assuming they were fresh-kileld the day you bought them. Plus, she'll only be on that size for three to six months, so at one meal a week, that's 13 to 26.

I would either find a friend to split the order with, or ask if they'll sell you a half-bag.

I'm a fan of Layne Labs for frozen feeders. I really like that they let you do smaller quantities of each size - really useful while your animal is still growing. That way you can keep that shipping charge (which is crazy if you buy frozen from anywhere online) down to once or twice (if you're feeding pinks) a year. Plus, they are really into being an ethical and humane facility, which, assuming it's not just an advertising gimmick, is nice. They're great to work with so far, although I've only bought from them one time.

I highly recommend Big Cheese Rodents. They have very high quality feeders and packaging and the $29 flat rate shipping is a real bonus. I've also used Layne Labs and they're great too but a bit more pricey than BC.

I use Perfect Prey they also go by the name Loxahatchee Rodents If you live in FL especially they ship very fast. If I order in a timely manor my orders go out same day and I have them the next day. They vacume pack most of their rodents in styrofoam trays very clean and very reasonable. it cost me like $30 to ship a full box weighing like 60# I went for economizing my shipping, but I got a lot of hungry mouths to feed.
