View Full Version : I couldn't take it anymore
And had to get one. She will be her next week. She's in Blue, but ate tonight per the report. I'm very excited. Waiting is the hardest part.

OH my god you guys are killing me with these cute hogs. I may give up and decide to pay the DNR 50 bucks a year to get one at this rate.

Congrats! They are very cool snakes. I was herping on the Patagonia's in extreme SE Arizona and actually came across a beautiful DOR Heterodon kennerlyi ( Mexican hognose).

No offense but that's something you should know before buying...

No offense taken, no offense when I say I buy what I want when I want. Sometimes I learn on the fly. My snakes and turtles and bees for that matter are very well taking care of over the past 10 years or so. I ask to gain knowledge from the experienced. As I've read many different care sheets and not any of them say what temp they keep the heat pad at.

I like her crisp pattern. Do post more photos of her as she grows. How old is she currently?
I didn't get a born on date. Sent a email to find out. He did a really job shipping. Well packed with a heat pad. She came in very active. She explored the enclosure for a couple minutes and then borrowed down in the Aspen and not to be seen again today. She's my office snake so I don't get to observe at night. Got the thermostat figured out and dialed in. I'll leave her for a few days to get settled in.
Had a good first feeding. I might gave gone a tad large on the mice. But she got it down no problem.
