Hey guys. Ready to replace my BP's god awful tank with an appropriate enclosure. Going with animal plastics and thinking about this Carpet cage they have that comes with the shelf and its a little higher. Im wondering if anyone here has this cage and if so how do they like it?

Of course my ball is a ball and 98% of the time he's in a hide but when he does come out he really seems to enjoy a good climb, or hes just trying to get out through the screen.

is 36" a good final enclosure length for an adult BP?

Anyone use RHP with these? Do they work well in conjunction with UTH?

I currently use UTH and a couple of lamps.

Depending on ambient temps of the room, you can use just one or both heat sources in conjunction with eachother. Here where i am, the room can get to 68F in the winter so I use heatpads for the hotspot, and RHP to raise ambient temps inside the cage. I think I could get away with just the rhp if I set the temp high enough.

I've used AP before and actually have a stack coming in, in the coming weeks(4x2x15" with the shelves). Same dimensions as the carpet cage but 1 foot longer. I think for a ball python 3 feet will be fine, but I had an adult in a 4x2 and in my opinion he could have used even more room than that. Big enclosures are not bad....empty ones are.

Yea if I go bigger I'll definitely want to fill it up. Thats mainly why I'd consider bigger. Selfish I know but I'm enjoying toying with decorating ideas that will be more permanent.
