Was just curious as to what some species of snakes are that have short, heavy bodies, or just a large width in proportion to their length. Off the top of my head I can think of Blood Pythons and sand boas.

Would Hognose fall under this term? Not sure how Stout they are, definitly not like a Blood Python, but still pretty bulky!

Adult Hognose are definitely stout bodied snakes, along with Sand Boas and of course Blood Pythons...I saw some truly beautiful, huge adult female albino Hognose at the last show I went to, they were awesome!

I've never seen an adult Hognose, I have a 4 month old right now and they're tiny and they don't get that big anyway, but yea they are pretty stocky guys!

Anaconda is the heaviest snake, shorter than retics but definitely heavier and thicker. But a bloodpython or gaboon of the same length, would be way thicker :)

Dumeril and Madagascar Ground Boas. Not quite as fat as bloods but close.
