View Full Version : Snakes on a plane
:no:Maybe a few years late to make fun of it but its been on the telly quite a bit lately and I cant help but enjoy how stupid it is.
Theres just too many flaws with it I just cant understand why they thought it was worth making the movie.

The whole idea of "snakes attacking people" is so stupid. No species of snake goes out their way to attack humans. I understand it's just a movie but it was pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, but aren't most of the movies today kind of un-makeable? I could film movies a lot better than most of the morons today.

I laughed so hard when they threw a milksnake (I remember it being a milk, but it's been a few years) in a microwave to kill it, but overall it was a pretty horrid movie.:P

The movie also showed a corn snake slithering over a dead body like it was so dangerous lol.
I liked it. It did what it was supposed to do. Entertain with cheap laughs. I mean, c'mon. The movie is called "snakes on a plane". If you go into it thinking it's going to be a work of cinematic art, you only have one person to blame. Plus, it's got Samuel L. Jackson's greatest lines since pulp fiction and Jackie brown!

Why smear the reputation of snakes though, now other animals laugh at them. If its cheap laughs we were going for they should have made it some thing hilarious like Bengal tigers on a plane or sharks on a plane.
Samuels famous line would have been great no matter what he shouted.
Substitute any other animal name into what he says and it so much better hahaha
Lamas on a plane would have won all the awards id watch it just to hear someone shouting "IT SPAT IN MY EYE!!!!!"

Yes but you feel this way because you like snakes. We all do. But if it were Bengal Tigers on a plane, someone, somewhere, would also be upset at the idea of tigers being mindless killing machines. In all reality, discovery channel, a so called educational programmer, does more to smear the reputation of snakes more than any Hollywood movie ever could.

But Bengal tigers are more likely to kill you then snakes

Hmm one of my friends who watched it with me made a great comment i almost forgot about, you can clearly see that there are real snakes in the movie. And even though they act like they are dangerous, they let them crawl all over actors and have them everywhere around them. He said, 'well the ones that are 'dangerous' are obviously cgi, and everyone who watches the movie can see that the real ones aren't dangerous to the actors at all".. It's something i completely missed, already knowing all the live snakes were harmless.. But he, not knowing much about snakes.. picked that up fairly quickly. Maybe more people picked up on that :D

They did better than "Sharks on a Plane".
SHARKNADO! An entire triology dedicated to it.
My problem was they search the plane with sniffer dogs. Even if the dogs through some miracle didn't react to the scent of that many snakes why did none of the officers think lets search the storage box thats making hissing noises.

Suspended disbelief. It's a movie. Not reality.

The general idea is nothing new to movies, just look at the 1963 movie by Alfred Hitchcock "The Birds".
