if you feed a venomous snakes on f/t food dose the venom get stronger because its not being used dose the snake top makingit more as far as holding v/r reptiles thats just plain stupid i don't believe that any snake likes to be held and to do so gives the hobby a bad name as far as it being your house and your snake what are you going to do wen the insurance cancels because you were being stupid it the same with a gun use it wrong pay the price not preaching just tring to point out the facts snakes don't like humans they put up with us because they have to not because they want to the sooner we understand this fact the better we will be as a keeper if you want proof of this turn any snake loose and see if it will comeback to you are go on its way when people quit trying to give snakes human emotions the better understanding we will have of how to care for them you would think the would be happy to have a warm place food no worries but they still want to be free i m a hunter not the hunted

If you dangle the f/t in front of them causing a strike, and then give it a few more wiggles. I don't see why the animal would not use it's venom like it would with live prey. However thinking some more, there would be no blood flow. Dead tissue is still different than live tissue, would it make a difference? Will the snake notice, more pressure? I don't know, it really got me thinking. Interesting subject. I do not think it would cause an issue for the snake, otherwise people would have noticed already. Also see no reason for the venom, to get stronger, larges doses available maybe. I don't know if there has been research done on this subject, if anyone knows any i would like to read it so please share!

I agree with you on the rest, snakes tolerate being handled, and should not be dealt with as if they have emotions like warmblooded animals do.
