I was walking around my yard today and I noticed a half eaten snake. I'm afraid one of my cats got it. This snake is gorgeous, but my mother-in-law is worried that it might be venomous. I'm not too worried about it, but I'd love to see what type of snake it is. I'm thinking something along the lines of a Striped Crayfish Snake.
What I'm seeing:
Stomach is pure yellow,
I'd love some help on identifying this little guy. Thanks in advance!

Really?! Ugh! I LOVE those things! I was debating getting one as a pet. I got a crested gecko instead. Thank you guys so much, though.
Yup, not a snake. Glass/legless lizard. A good way to tell is lizards have eyelids and ears while snakes do not. Obviously for safety reasons, never get too close to a snake you cannot identify. But these are completely harmless I used to see them all the time where I grew up in Florida. Unfortunately it was often when they were hit by a lawnmower blade when cutting grass.

Glass lizard for sure. I actually caught one chilling in my sandals outside my door lol. I let the little guy go. :)
