I have two snakes comming in the morning from lllreptile. They should be here around 10:30.I don't get home from school until 3:10ish. My step dad will be here to sign for them so the live arrival guarantee will be there. However, he doesn't want to open them if he doesn't have to but he will if need be. So my question is, will the snakes be okay sitting in the shipping box in my house until 3:10 or should I have my step dad open them up while I'm at school and put them in their cages? Thanks
That's a personal call but I wouldn't be too concerned as long as it's in the house.

Your step dad doesn't need to take the snakes out of their containers/bags, but I think it'd be wise to at least take them out of the shipping box(while still in their containers) and just place them in their enclosures.

I agree with Mikoh.

I have had my reptiles supported with heat packs, if the person who shipped the snakes included heat packs; your snakes should be fine. Congrats on the new snakes. Pictures please.

Meh, my garter had to chill in his deli cup until 6 in the evening when I had him shipped. My husband took her out of the box, but that was all. No apparent harm came of it. :)

I would have him at least open the box so there is some air movement. Otherwise they should be fine.
