Two Water Moccasins fighting

This is a video I took several years ago. I posted it awhile ago as well but for any new people who haven't seen it, here it is. It's two male Water Moccasin's fighting over a female, I filmed them in the Austin area doing Memorial Weekend something like 4 years ago. One of my favorite videos.

Very cool video!!! I have only seen two male snakes fighting one time in my life and they were garter snakes when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing! Moccasins are by far the most common semi-aquatic snake in my area (in some places one of the most common snakes of any kind, regardless of the current proximity of water), so common in fact that I get pretty excited when I find any of the three species of Nerodia indigenous to these parts. Moccasins are what sparked my fascination with snakes as a kid, they were constantly getting into my dads quail and chicken coops. In better than twenty years of observing and interacting with literally hundreds of Moccasins I have never seen a combat ritual. I am very jealous, thanks for sharing.
