I enjoy Herping, but don't do it hard core or put a lot of effort into it like I should. I've caught a lot of native snakes to North TX. The two I have yet to catch is a Copperhead and a Water Moccasin.

I would also like to catch a native Garter again. We used to catch the hell out of them, but I haven't caught one in years.

I'm looking to find an eastern milk. My dad's ex has a friend that found one in her shop, why can't I be that lucky?

Prairie rattlers in CO. It seems everyone out here that I know has found them but me.

Go to lbj grasslands for copperheads in late spring through summer. There are also cottonmouths around that area as well. We see copperheads on almost every trip. woody areas close to water. ;)

I've only seen/caught one in the 7 years since I've moved back here, we though it was a corn snake at the time. We tried to keep it, but needless to say it escaped. Probably for the best.

I really want to find an eastern hognose. The only snakes I've ever found were water snakes, black ratsnakes, and garters. Other than that I've seen one copperhead, one eastern milksnake, and one worm snake, and few dead DeKay's on the road.

Red-Bellied Mud Snake, supposedly I live within its range but I have never seen one. Haven't found a Glossy either. The whole list would be huge but if I could take a trip a few hours south and find Indigos, Speckled Racers and maybe a Cat-eye I'd be so happy I wouldn't know how to act. Maybe head out west and find Rock Rattlers, Lyre Snakes, Night Snakes and Gray Band Kings... Or east for Buttermilk Racers, Graham's Crayfish Snakes, Timber Rattlers and Louisiana Pinesnakes... Ack! And probably another 20 or so species before I even leave Texas...

Southeast Texas here, and I've had no difficulties finding copperheads and cottonmouths over the past few years. For snakes in this area, I'd love to find rattlesnakes other than Western Diamondbacks (seem to have little difficulty locating those around the coast). Canebrakes and especially pygmies. Also, I haven't seen a speckled King in a very long time now.

Canebrake rattlers and coral snakes - I've seen most of the other species in my area. My sister was lucky enough to find a coral snake in her backyard one time. She wasn't too excited about it, but fortunately, she was too nice to kill it.

Eastern Hognose. I have seen one in 8 yrs. We have them in this area. They are indangered in Ontario.

Any snake species at all, the only time i get to find anything at all is on vacation.. We don't really have any snakes near here, only 3 species. And incredibly had to find, have to drive pretty far.

Anything. I look around my and my parent's property all the time. I turn over rocks, bricks, downspouts and just about everything else I come across and have never found a thing. My mom even has a Koi pond in the back with a garden around it. Strange.

Anything this year lol. I've been out quite a bit and have only caught one garter. And that was on a job site. Haven't even seen a water snake while out fishing.

I'd love to photograph a wild sierra mountain king or a night snake here in CA but all snakes are welcome for photos
