ID for this Florida snake, please?

Hello. Please see the attached photo. Can anyone identify this snake for me? It was quite small, and perhaps even smaller than my adult hand (I wasn't prepared to touch it to find out). The body was bright blue but, as you can see, the head was brown with white stripes.

I don't know if this snake is a Florida native, but I found this snake in my backyard in Gainesville, Florida (northern Florida). The snake was hiding behind a big vine that was growing up the side of a tall pine tree. In the photo, the snake had just emerged from its hiding spot after I alarmed it.

That is not a snake, that is a Five-lined Skink. ;) (you can clearly see its hind legs)

Easy to make that mistake if you're unfamiliar with them, tho. They stay on the ground and move with that serpentine motion. Plus, their legs are small enough to be easily overlooked. Thanks for the pic, reminds me of finding those guys when I'm in Florida. And I like that shade of blue😃.
