View Full Version : Question about Genetics, first time breeder.
I need some help! First time breeding boas, and not totally sure of genetic pairings, the female is a BCC/BCI cross and huge, pastel. The male is pure BCI Anerythristic Ghost. What am I likely to get visuals for from the babies? Unsure if female is het for anything, be finding out! Apologies for the dumb question. ;]

Hope this helps :)
The male is pure BCI Anerythristic Ghost.]
A ghost is always Anerythristic, since a Ghost is an Anery-Hypo. No need to say Anerythristic Ghost.
Anery is recessive, so all babies will be Heterozygous for Anery. Hypo is co-dominant, meaning theoretically half of the babies will be hypo. Pastel isn't a morph, it's a name given to an animal with vibrant colors. (Only Pastels from a known and documented pastel breeding line adds any value, otherwise its an empty name, just a description)
So basically, 50% normals het Anery and 50% Hypo het Anery. If the female happens to be Heterozygous for Anery you might get Anery's and Ghosts as well. Any other genes will not show.
