new snakes?

Hey guys. I haven't really posted here much recently my snake collection seems to be doing quite well. I have a male normal ball python. A year and a half old jungle carpet and a yearling coastal jag carpet, a lavender corn snake and a Cali king.

So my living situation is about to drastically change in the next week or so and I'll be free to add to my collection. The three snakes I've been considering most are a red tail boa, a black milk snake, and perhaps the one I am most interested in a Sumatran short tailed python. Also other carpet pythons might be great too I really enjoy the ones I have.

Just thought I would ask if anyone wanted to offer any insight into these or make other suggestions.

You probably knew I would recommend a black milk!! ;) One of my favs! Super laid back, awesome eaters, and like it cool. :cool:

If you have the room and are ready for big snakes maybe a Burmese or a Retic would be cool. I know it's not everyone's preference but they make awesome pets and animals to study. Green Trees make good display animals (reason why I say display is because they shouldn't be handled for the first year if their life then even after that not much) Brazilian Rainbow Boa and Mexican Black Kingsnakes are also a very good shout (all are on my list lol)

Yeah I'm actually moving out on my own so I don't think I want a snake so large that I couldn't safely handle it on my own. However a dwarf burn or a super dwarf retic could possibly be accepted, assuming I could even find one in Washington state.

Black milks are supposed to be gentle giants from people I've talked to that keep them so they are a good choice. And of course I'm biased but you can never go wrong with another carpet.

You already have a corn, a king, and several pythons.. The only basic thing missing from your list is a Boa! Since you named it as a snake you would like to add to your collection, why not go for some diversity? :D Boa's are beautiful, and come in various sizes!

I have a Borneo short tailed python (Sumatrans are very similar)... find one with the right temperament, and you're looking at one hell of a cool snake (: But if you happen to get one with the wrong (aka typical) temperament, you're looking at a lot of work lol
