Garter Snake Food Options Help

Hey guys I've been looking forward to getting a garter snake but I wanted to know a few things first about what I should be feeding him/her. So here is a list of questions I hopefully you guys can help me with:

Can I feed a garter snake river shrimp?
Can I feed a garter snake ghost shrimp?
Can I feed a garter snake tetra fish?
Can I feed guppy fish?

Short version: I don't think you can feed them shrimp. Fish can be okay, but only specific kinds.
